Transfer from the airport to your accommodation.
Departure around 8 a.m. from Marrakech. Direction the Tichka pass 2,260 m, the highest road pass in Morocco, grandiose panoramic landscape, forests of holm oaks, pine trees, several beautiful Berber villages clinging to the cliffs. We then cross the Tichka pass. We pass through Telouat to visit the ancient kasbah Du Glaoui and the Ounila valley, then the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Lunch on site then continuation to Ouarzazate. Visit to the film studio. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Departure to Tineghir and visit the Todra Gorges and green gardens, without forgetting the meeting of nomads and their herds of goats.
We then leave towards Merzouga taking the Erfoud road, famous for its fossilized marbles. We pass through Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet and we head along the track towards the Merzouga desert. Arrived at the foot of the dunes for the bivouac located in the middle of Erg Chebbi. Sunset, mint tea, dinner, entertainment and night under the tent or under the stars.
Awake to a breathtaking sunrise atop the towering Erg Chebbi dunes, Embark on an unforgettable camel ride to the village of Merzouga and explore the awe-inspiring desert landscapes in 4x4s. Engage with local nomadic communities, witness their resilient lifestyle, and admire their herds of camels and goats. Delight in traditional Berber cuisine and experience the enchanting rhythms of Gnaoua music. Conclude your day with a campfire, immersed in Berber melodies under the starry desert skies.
Wake up early to witness the awe-inspiring sunrise over the desert before enjoying a delicious breakfast. Mount your camels once again and return to Merzouga. Begin your drive towards Fes, passing through the picturesque Ziz Valley and the city of Errachidia.
Around midday, make a stop in Midelt to purchase lunch and replenish your energy. Continue your journey to Fes, traversing the captivating landscapes of Ifrane and Imouzzar with their renowned Cedar Forests and Berber towns.
Keep your eyes peeled for the Barbary apes that might cross your path, providing a perfect opportunity for memorable pictures. Arrive in Fes late in the afternoon, where Morocco Experience Travel bids you farewell with a drop-off at your accommodation.
